DAA’s Taylor Woods Appointed to Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting Board of Directors

Taylor from DAA Media + Marketing joins the Friends of LPB Board of Directors, supporting the advancement of public media in Louisiana with LPB PBS

We’re proud to share that Taylor Woods, Media Director at DAA Media + Marketing, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting (FLPB), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting educational and cultural enrichment throughout Louisiana.

The Friends of LPB plays a vital role in supporting the Louisiana Educational Television Authority by cultivating resources that sustain and expand Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s programming and outreach. With a mission to “further the educational and cultural enrichment of all citizens,” the organization ensures that the benefits of public television remain accessible to all Louisianans, including underserved and rural communities. LPB provides vital programming for learners of all ages and plays a unique role in preserving the state’s heritage through documentary storytelling, public affairs, and educational content.

As a member of the FLPB Board, Taylor will contribute to strategic efforts that include fundraising, event support, and community engagement initiatives such as the annual Louisiana Legends Gala, which honors influential figures who have brought distinction to the state. Her role also includes participating in membership drives and awareness campaigns that fund over 50% of LPB’s broadcast rights dues each year.

Taylor brings more than a decade of media expertise and a deep commitment to community involvement to this new role. At DAA Media + Marketing, she leads media strategy and execution for a diverse portfolio of clients. Her appointment to the board is a natural extension of her personal and professional values, particularly her passion for impactful storytelling and educational equity.

“I am truly honored to join the Friends of LPB Board and contribute to an organization that means so much to me personally and to our state. As a parent, I’ve shared countless moments with my children watching LPB and PBS Kids, and I know firsthand how important it is to keep this resource strong for Louisiana families. Serving on the board allows me to raise awareness and funds that ensure LPB continues its mission of education, enrichment, and lifelong learning for all.”
